Generative Artificial Intelligence Shaping the Future of Agri‐Food Innovation
ABSTRACT The recent surge in generative artificial intelligence (AI), typified by models such as GPT, diffusion models, and large vision‐language architectures, has begun to influence the agri‐food sector. From automating knowledge generation and optimizing supply chains to designing novel food products and supporting decision‐making, generative AI offers significant transformative potential. This commentary explores emerging applications, outlines key challenges in data governance and domain adaptation, and calls for responsible, interdisciplinary development of generative AI for sustainable and equitable food systems.
