The influence of traditional Chinese political culture on modern China

The subject of the study is the influence of Confucian ideas and traditional Chinese political culture in general on modern Chinese society and government. The research focuses on how the principles of morality, social order, “zhen” (humanity), “li” (ritual), family values, and respect for elders, which are rooted in Confucianism, continue to shape modern politics, ideology, and the state's approach to interacting with society. The objects of research are the Confucian philosophical and ethical system, traditional Chinese political culture, as well as modern Chinese society and government, which are used to analyze the influence of traditional political culture on modernity. The author focuses on the analysis of the continuity of Confucian values in the modern world and their impact on public administration and politics. A multi-level methodology can be used to study the influence of traditional Chinese political culture on modern China. First, it is necessary to review the existing literature, debates, and approaches related to traditional Chinese political culture and its interaction with modern political practices. It is also necessary to conduct a comparative analysis. The scientific novelty of this study lies in the systematic understanding and integration of classical concepts of traditional Chinese political culture with modern political practices in China. Unlike existing works, which often focus exclusively on one aspect, either on historical roots or on the modern context, this study seeks to combine these areas. The findings of the study confirm that traditional Chinese political culture continues to have a significant impact on the modern state structure, forming the basic principles of governance, ideology and approaches to the interaction of the state with society. In particular, elements of Confucianism, such as the priority of collective interests over individual interests and the importance of social harmony, can be traced in modern government policies and strategies.
