BARANGAY RESOURCE-SHARING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Manual processes in inter-barangay coordination often result in unorganized resource records, scheduling conflicts, and difficulties in tracking the condition and location of shared assets, leading to slow and error-prone operations. This study aims to develop the Barangay Resource-Sharing Management System (BRSMS) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and coordination of resource sharing across partner barangays, specifically Natumolan, Poblacion, and Santa Cruz. The system was developed using the Waterfall Model of the Software Development Life Cycle, utilizing PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and features QR code technology for real-time tracking and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for secure access. The system was evaluated through functional testing and a usability assessment. Results showed a 100% functional testing pass rate and a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 81.0, indicating "Excellent" usability and improved operational performance for barangay staff. Overall, the system reduces manual bottlenecks and enhances transparency in local governance, with future work suggesting the expansion to more barangays and the inclusion of automated maintenance alerts to further improve resource sustainability.
