Impacts of Traditional Stone Line /Kabi Line/, Crop Types, Crop Patterns and Fertilizer Applications on Soil Properties at Ifabas /Jarra/ Community Watershed, Tullo Woreda, West Harareghe, Oromia, Ethiopia

This study was entitled with: the impacts of traditional stone lines/kabi lines/ in association of soil management practices of agronomic erosion controls on soil physico-chemical properties at Ifabas / Jarra/ community watershed, Tullo Weroda west Harareghe zone Oromia Regional National State Ethiopia. The objectives of this study were to examine the effects of TSLs with fertilizers application, crop types and crop patterns on soil physico-chemical properties of CFLS with TSL in comparison to NCFLS and to observe their correlations existed between them; and to investigate the variations of C/N ratios between CFLS with TSL and \NCFLS. CRBD was purposefully used in provided an equal chances of statistical probability distribution of EUs, SPs, and OUs. The total of 54 CSSs were collected from the three sub-watersheds of Ifabas community watershed for laboratory analysis. Moreover, the total of 54 disturbed soil samples were collected in separate to determine soil BD and soil MC. Soil samples were collected at 0-15 cm soil depth by used local available and prepared auger from metal pipe. Its volume is 396.312 cm3. Soil samples were replicated three times to approach the accuracy. Laboratory analyzed output of soil data were subjected to EXCEL2013 software and multiple ANOVA following the GLM of Multivariate procedures of SPSS version 23. The study were observed the variations of ST, SOC, TSN, ASP, and soil pH, SOM, MC and BD and C/N ratios available between CFLS and NCFLS. The results of the study in B-I had showed that, the average values of the soil BD, soil MC, silt and, sand soil, TSN, SOC, SOM and soil pH were the higher inside CFLS with TSL (0.24g/cm3, 39.76%, 31.13%, 31.82%, 0.20%, 2.29%, 3.94% and 6.72 ratio) than NCFLS (0.16g/cm3, 26.96%, 24.21%, 27.38%, 0.19%, 1.24%, 2.13% and 6.61 ratio). The findings of the study in B-II had revealed that, the average values of soil BD, soil MC, soil pH and clay soil were the lower under CFLS with TSL (0.12g/cm3, 24.5%, 6.93 ratio and 32.58%) than in NCFLS (0.24g/cm3, 30.62%, 6.72 ratio and 38.35%). The results of the study in B-III had indicated that, the average values of the soil MC, sand soil, SOC, SOM, TSN, and ASP were the higher under CFLS with TSL (30.76%, 39.40%, 1.71%, 2.95%, 0.33% and 24.56ppm) than NCFLS (19.32%, 38.19%, 1.13%, 1.95%, 0.18% and 13.57ppm), In general the study results had showed that TSL structures, CFS and CGPS have the positive effects on improving of soil physical and chemical properties as comparted to NCFLS.
