Scope of Block Teaching in Alignment and Integration in CBME
Abstract All preclinical, paraclinical, and clinical subjects are taught to students in isolation, and their approach is fragmented; hence, block teaching is introduced to play the essential role of alignment and integration strategies within medical education. Alignment and integration in various contexts, such as institutional strategies or educational curriculum, offer benefits such as enhanced collaboration, when different elements work together cohesively. Through immersive, experiential learning modalities and practical applications, students cultivate a holistic grasp of medical principles. Block teaching will equip learners with immersive, interconnected learning experiences that involve the deep participation of students in a cohesive educational environment.
