Application-Layer DDoS Mitigation via Human-Pause–Aware Temporal Entropy Collapse Detection
This record contains the complete publication package for Paper 7, which introduces and formally evaluates a deterministic, pause-aware, application-layer DDoS mitigation model based on temporal entropy collapse rather than probabilistic scoring or behavioral classification. The package includes the primary peer-style article, a full technical Appendix (Appendix A) detailing the execution model and detection logic, validated Spanish-language translations, and a governed temporal artifact (.zip) referenced explicitly in the paper. Together, these components document both the theoretical foundation and the practical execution plane of the Melona Sentinel system. The work demonstrates that application-layer abuse can be reliably discriminated using temporal structure alone, where human interaction pauses act as a decisive signal and sustained uninterrupted request sequences trigger a single-shot defensive response. Detection logic is intentionally non-metric and non-scoring; however, the observable runtime state enables deterministic temporal metrics to be derived post hoc for evaluation purposes. The included artifact package supports structural inspection, reproducibility, and independent analysis of the system architecture as described in Appendix A, while deliberately avoiding exposure of live infrastructure, operational endpoints, or deployable attack surfaces. This separation enforces execution-plane decoupling and governed interpretation of the published materials. This publication is intended for researchers and practitioners in application-layer security, DDoS mitigation, adaptive defense systems, and temporal behavior modeling, and is provided as a self-contained, citable research artifact under a single DOI.
