Expression of Concern: Exploring the potential of copper oxide biogenic synthesis: a review article on the biomedical and dental implementations

The publisher of Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research: Water, Energy, Food and Environment is issuing an Expression of Concern for the following article, Mahmood RI, Mohammed-Salih HS, Ghazi A, Abdulbaqi HJ, Al-Obaidi JR (2024), “Exploring the potential of copper oxide biogenic synthesis: a review article on the biomedical and dental implementations”. Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research, Vol. 42 No. 2 pp. 370-387, doi: https://doi.org/10.1108/AGJSR-12-2022-0315. An investigation by the publisher identified the use of a tortured phrase and the inclusion of irrelevant citations. The following citations have been identified as anomalous and inappropriate; the authors were unable to provide sufficient justification for their presence in the article:As a result of these concerns and as trust in the content is central to the integrity of the publication process, the publisher has taken the decision to publish an Expression of Concern. This decision has been informed by COPE's guidelines on Expressions of Concern and Emerald's publishing ethics. The authors cooperated with this investigation and acknowledged the errors but failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. The authors of this article would like to note that they do not agree with the content of this notice and wish to emphasize that the above errors were unintentional mistakes.
