The Effect of Fixed and Variable Practice Based on Distance and Target Size on Developing Shooting Skill Performance in Futsal Players
The importance of the research lies in identifying exercises in both fixed and variable styles, using targets of varying sizes that are worked on at different distances to enhance players’ skill performance. The research aimed to develop exercises based on distance and target size and to identify their impact on the scoring skills of futsal players. The researcher used the experimental method with a two-group design, selecting the research sample purposively from the College of Arts, University of Baghdad, futsal team. The sample consisted of 12 players, divided into two experimental groups using a single and double division method, with each group comprising six players. This was based on the pre-test results to achieve skill parity between the groups. After experimenting, the researcher found differences between the results of the pre-tests and the post-tests in favor of the post-tests, as well as differences between the post-tests in favor of the variable training group.
