ENERGY CONSUMPTION PERFORMANCE FOR A CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM BY USING A ROOM AIR CONDITIONER AS THE HEAT SOURCE
In recent years, central air conditioning systems have been proposed that combine a room air conditioner and supply fans. However, methods for evaluating the energy consumption performance of such systems have not been fully established. This study aims to establish a method for evaluating the energy consumption performance of these systems through theoretical calculations and field measurements in actual residences. The results showed that energy consumption can be estimated with reasonable accuracy by applying existing evaluation methods for room air conditioners, as specified in current energy conservation standards.
