Acute Coronary Syndrome after Bee Sting: A Case of Type II Kounis Syndrome
A 60-year-old male presented after multiple bee stings with systemic allergic symptoms and respiratory distress. He was diagnosed with type II Kounis syndrome and managed conservatively.Kounis syndrome is a rare but potentially fatal condition that combines allergic reactions with acute coronary events.Early recognition is crucial, especially in myocardial infarction cases without prior coronary artery disease (CAD), as delayed or missed diagnosis can lead to sudden cardiac death.
