Practicality of Android-Based Mobile Learning for Teaching Remo Putri Gaya Tawi Dance in Vocational Schools
This study examines the practicality of an Android-based mobile learning application developed to support the teaching of the Remo Putri Gaya Tawi dance in vocational school dance arts subjects within the digital era. The research employed a case study design within a research and development framework using the ADDIE model, encompassing the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through observations of learning implementation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and expert judgment instruments evaluating learning implementation, instructional videos, and assessment sheets. The observation results showed that the Android-based mobile learning application achieved an average score of 80%, which falls into the “practical” category, exceeding the minimum implementation criterion of ≥75%. Teachers reported positive responses regarding readability, clarity of content, video quality, and alignment with students’ learning needs. Students likewise indicated that the application was easy to use, engaging, and effective in helping them understand and practice the movements of the Remo Putri Gaya Tawi dance both independently and collaboratively. Furthermore, expert evaluations revealed a high level of practicality, with scores of 97.6% for learning implementation, 80% for instructional video practicality, and 98.45% for the practicality of assessment sheets. Overall, the findings indicate that the Android-based mobile learning application integrated with the Among Rasa learning model is practical and feasible for supporting dance instruction in vocational schools, while also enhancing student engagement and learning autonomy
