Inside Back Cover: Electrochemical Controllable Divergent Carboxylation and Hydrocarboxylation of Alkynes with CO 2 (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 7/2026)

In the Research Article (e20335), Chenjiang Liu, Yonghong Zhang, and co-workers successfully achieved a green electrochemical controllable divergent carboxylation of phenylacetylene with carbon dioxide, efficiently affording a variety of value-added phenylpropiolic acids, cinnamic acids, fumaric acids, and succinic acids under mild condition with good selectivity. This not only provides an efficient strategy for electrochemically driven fixation of wasted greenhouse gas carbon dioxide and high-value-added transformation of low-cost bulk chemicals alkynes, but also convert the clean energy of wind and solar into chemical energy.
