β-Selective Heck reactions of unprotected allylamines driven by surface charge of in situ -formed Pd nanoparticles
Arylation of allylamines typically favors addition of the new aryl at the γ-position via an insertion mechanism. However, by using a relatively electronically neutral reduced metal nanoparticle, the selectivity of this reaction can be switched to β.
