p–n junction-induced bipolar charge micro-regions driving enhanced redox kinetics for efficient overall water splitting

A p–n junction catalyst incorporating a BIEF was constructed by growing NiFe LDH nanosheets on SCN nanotubes. This heterostructure uses dual charges to locally enrich OH − and H + , optimizing the catalytic microenvironment for HER and OER.

Abstract

A p–n junction catalyst incorporating a BIEF was constructed by growing NiFe LDH nanosheets on SCN nanotubes. This heterostructure uses dual charges to locally enrich OH − and H + , optimizing the catalytic microenvironment for HER and OER.
