Front Cover: Targeted Nanocomplex Delivery for Protecting Vascular Integrity and Enhancing Anticancer Effects in Hepatocellular Carcinoma (Small Sci. 1/2026)

Nanocarriers In article number 2400616, Seung-Woo Cho, Wonhwa Lee, Jae-Young Lee, Hong Nam Kim, and co-workers developed hepatocarcinoma-targeted nanocarriers encapsulating anti-tumor drugs to enhance delivery to solid tumors while minimizing vascular inflammation-related side effects. Across animal models and liver-tumor-on-a-chip platforms, these nanocarriers achieved markedly improved cellular uptake, stronger anti-tumor responses, and reduced vascular injury, underscoring their potential as an efficient and safe nanomedicine platform for liver cancer therapy.

Abstract

Nanocarriers In article number 2400616, Seung-Woo Cho, Wonhwa Lee, Jae-Young Lee, Hong Nam Kim, and co-workers developed hepatocarcinoma-targeted nanocarriers encapsulating anti-tumor drugs to enhance delivery to solid tumors while minimizing vascular inflammation-related side effects. Across animal models and liver-tumor-on-a-chip platforms, these nanocarriers achieved markedly improved cellular uptake, stronger anti-tumor responses, and reduced vascular injury, underscoring their potential as an efficient and safe nanomedicine platform for liver cancer therapy.
