TSFT Exterior Tail Test in an Exoplanet S2-Ladder: HAT-P-2b, XO-3b, and WASP-14b
We extend Time-Scalar Field Theory (TSFT), previously validated through Mercury’s perihelion advance and the Schwarzschild precession of the S2 star around Sagittarius A*, to eccentric hot Jupiter exoplanet systems. TSFT predicts a universal, parameter-free exterior correction that produces a fixed apsidal precession rate identical in form to the relativistic Schwarzschild term and independent of tidal dissipation, internal structure, or system scale. We test this baseline across HAT-P-2b, XO-3b, and WASP-14b using transit, secondary-eclipse, and radialvelocity timing within a Δτ framework that separates apsidal precession from apparent period drift. For WASP-14b and XO-3b, the TSFT baseline is consistent with observed null secular evolution. For WASP-12b, where apparent orbital decay has been reported, model comparison using secondary eclipse timing demonstrates a degeneracy between quadratic decay and apsidal precession on current baselines. These results extend the Mercury→S2 ladder to exoplanetregimes under a single exterior correction and indicate that extreme tidal dissipation is not uniquely required by short-baseline timing data. Extended secondary-eclipse monitoring provides a decisive falsification channel.
