Cover Feature: Lithium‐Ion Transport in Carbon Fibers for Structural Batteries (Adv. Energy Sustainability Res. 1/2026)
Lithium-Ion Transport in Carbon Fibers In structural battery composites, the carbon fiber electrode interface governs lithium transport into and out of the active material, as well as the SEI formation. By comparing two identical fibers with different coatings, Richa Chaudhary, Ruben Tavano, Johanna Xu, and Leif E. Asp show that the surface plays a key role in the electrochemical performance of the structural electrodes. More details can be found in the Research Article (DOI: 10.1002/aesr.202500377).
