This study examines the effect of a cognitive training program on internalizing the concept of caring leadership among principals of private schools in East Jerusalem.Caring leadership is a contemporary leadership style grounded in ethical responsibility, care, and the creation of a supportive school climate, and is considered an extension of transformational leadership. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of an intervention program consisting of eight training sessions focused on the concept, components, objectives, and practical applications of caring leadership across three dimensions: staff well-being, work environment, and administrative practices.A quasi-experimental pre-post design was employed with a purposive sample of 30 female administrators from private schools in East Jerusalem.Data were collected using the Caring School Leadership Questionnaire (CSLQ) and analyzed using SPSS, applying reliability coefficients and paired-sample t-tests.The findings revealed statistically significant differences in favor of the post-test across all three dimensions, with notable improvements in staff well-being, work environment, and administrative practices. These results indicate the effectiveness of the cognitive program in enhancing principals' internalization and application of caring leadership. The study recommends adopting similar cognitive training programs for school administrators, particularly in public schools in East Jerusalem, and calls for further experimental research in the Arab context to address the limited empirical literature on caring school leadership.
