Background: Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) Therapy has been used as an adjunctive treatment for drugresistant epilepsy (DRE) for more than 30 years.Despite widespread clinical adoption, the question of whether seizure outcomes differ between focal and generalized epilepsy remains a subject of ongoing investigation. Objective: To explore emerging evidence from the CORE-VNS study on how seizure type may influence clinical response to VNS Therapy, and whether comparable benefits are observed in patients with focal versus generalized seizures. Methods: With more than 2 million data-points CORE-VNS is a large-scale, prospective, international, post-market study of VNS Therapy in DRE, conducted across 61 sites in 16 countries. The study includes over 800 patients with longitudinal follow-up of up to 36 months.Patients were assessed for seizure frequency, quality of life, sleep, VNS
