Comparison of the Effects of Hyaluronic Acid and Platelet-Rich Fibrin on Wound Healing
PRF showed a nonsignificant, yet consistent superiority in enhancing both bone and soft tissue healing parameters and HA have a significant impact on bone and soft tissue healing. However, although both agents seem to impact the healing cascade, the superior OPG expression in the PRF group indicates a potentially stronger anti-resorptive and osteogenic effect. However, further studies are required to comprehensively evaluate their long-term relationship with wound healing.
