A New Approach for Key Generation Using Lorenz System and Henon Map

To protect data transmission from theft and disclosure, encryption is necessary. Secure encryption requires a robust system. Often, this system’s strength depends on its key generation. Chaotic systems are used for the key generation process for some reasons, such as precise and random properties. This paper presents a new approach for key generation using two types of chaos theory: the 3D Henon map and the 3D Lorenz system, to enhance the security of a cryptographic system. The proposed algorithm aims to increase the security of cryptographic algorithms and the generation of random and secure key numbers. The results of the proposal showed that the suggested algorithms have successfully passed the NIST statistical test suite, also the results showed the strength and resistance of the generated keys against the attacks.
