Cohomological Obstructions to Ontological Fidelity: A Spectral Sequence Derivation of Convergence Criteria in Reality Calibration Manifolds
Mathematical Applications of Science Fiction We investigate the topological stability of Reality Calibration Manifolds (MRC) under the action of the Ontological Renormalization Group (ORG). By modeling the fidelity of subjective experience as a sheaf of germs of holomorphic functions over a complex Kähler manifold, we identify a class of cohomological obstructions residing in ( H^2(MRC; \mathbb{Z}) ) that prevent the global convergence of the calibration map. We construct a Leray–Serre spectral sequence associated with the fibration of the subjective frame bundle and prove that the non-vanishing of the second differential ( d_2 ) corresponds to an irreducible “glitch” in the ontological substrate. Our Main Theorem establishes a necessary and sufficient condition for Ontological Fidelity in terms of the vanishing of the characteristic classes of a specific gerbe structure. We conclude by discussing the implications for vacuum decay in simulated universes and the stability of Boltzmann Brain fluctuations.
