Quality Improvement Project to Improve Nurse Satisfaction With Mobile Just-in-Time Training for Annual Competency Skills Requirements
This quality improvement project aimed to transition a traditional full-day nurse competency format to a flexible, just-in-time training model. Staff feedback of the just-in-time model indicated increased satisfaction as well as greater accessibility. In addition, the leadership found gain in this approach as there was a positive financial impact. This has specific benefits for nurse professional development practitioners as it offers a more efficient and flexible method for delivering competency training, while enhancing staff satisfaction.
