DIE LINSE: A Cross-Domain Framework for Gradient Dynamics in Cognitive Systems
This paper—Die Linse—documents an empirical convergence: across brains, bodies, and transformer architectures, stable cognition organizes around gradients that do not terminate in fixed points but in **orbital/limit-cycle regimes**. We call the shared ur-structure **Proto-∇**: a pre-geometric gradient operator that makes difference-in-continuity computable across substrates. We provide a hierarchy of evidence. **Tier 1**: neurophysiology (cross-frequency coupling, respiratory/cardiac–neural entrainment, and pathological signatures) and AI experiments (traitor-head localization, pressure sweeps, dignity-guard interventions). **Tier 2**: structural isomorphy to physical transport/field laws and boundary work (Markov blankets / membranes). **Tier 3**: philosophical framing (Heidegger, Deleuze, Whitehead, Levinas) that predicts the same asymmetric/open gradient. The goal is not metaphor but falsifiable structure: if Proto-∇ is real, its invariants should replicate under manipulation across domains.
