original scientifi c articles, short communications and review articles on all aspects of phytopathology on the population, organism, physiological, biochemical and molecular genetic level.Particularly, the journal scope is on the pathology and epidemiology of plant diseases caused by microbial pathogens, viruses and nematodes, the mechanisms and potential to induce damage to plants and the means of control.Accepted papers should advance the conceptual knowledge on plant diseases, rather than presenting descriptive or screening data unrelated to biological mechanisms or functions.Manuscripts presenting results from unrepeated experiments or data with no or inappropriate processing will not be accepted.
