Device Closure of Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformation using Vascular Plug in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia
A BSTRACT Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) are uncommon vascular anomalies associated with potentially serious complications, including cerebral thromboembolism, brain abscess, and pulmonary hemorrhage. Endovascular embolization has become the preferred therapeutic approach, with vascular plugs representing a reliable and effective option. Here is a case of PAVM, in a patient with hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, who was successfully treated with a vascular plug.
