Structural Stability of Hypnagogic Homotopies: An ∞-Operadic Formalism for the Control of Semantic Drift in Targeted Dream Incubation
Mathematical Applications of Science Fiction Targeted Dream Incubation (TDI) has historically been plagued by the stochastic nature of the hypnagogic state, where semantic trajectories diverge exponentially from the intended incubation vector—a phenomenon known as Semantic Drift. In this paper, we propose a rigorous topological framework to model the oneiric phase space as a quasi-category Drem. We introduce the concept of Hypnagogic Homotopies, treating dream transitions as paths in a stratified ∞-topos. By constructing a specific ∞-operad, Osem, which encodes the syntax of dream symbolism, we derive the conditions necessary for the structural stability of these homotopies. We define the Malcor Stability Criterion in terms of the vanishing of specific obstruction classes in the André–Quillen cohomology of the dream manifold. Finally, we demonstrate that under a sufficiently high-dimensional control scheme, the semantic drift can be bounded by the curvature of the connection on the principal bundle of the dreamer’s associative cortex, effectively rendering the incubation process deterministic up to coherent homotopy.
