Unveiling the Potential of Dermoscopy in Diagnosing Netherton Syndrome
Netherton syndrome (NS) is a rare genodermatosis characterized by a triad of atopic diathesis, ichthyosis linearis circumflexa, and hair shaft abnormalities. Trichoscopy is a noninvasive diagnostic tool for NS. The hair shaft abnormalities found in NS are bamboo, golf tee, and matchstick hairs. We report a case of NS in a 6-year-old male diagnosed based on history, clinical, and trichoscopy findings.
