Scalable Biodegradable Janus Solar Evaporator Derived from Wastepaper and Tea Residue for Sustainable Seawater Desalination and Wastewater Purification (Small 52/2025)
Wastewater Purification In article number 2507620, Sainan Ma, Yuen Hong Tsang, and co-workers fabricated a scalable, biodegradable Janus solar evaporator by incorporating multi-reflective MXene-MWCNT hybrid onto a porous and fibrous substrate, prepared from recycled wastepaper and tea residue, for seawater desalination and wastewater purification, demonstrating water evaporation rate of 1.52 kg m−2 h−1 with 90.79% efficiency under one sun, and producing ≈6.8 L m−2 of freshwater over 8 hours, showcasing large-scale implementation potential.
