Methods of Intensified Cleaning of Component Parts in Submerged Washing Machines

This study considers regularities in the mechanical effect of a detergent solution on the efficiency of eliminating impurities from metal surfaces of machine components. It has been established that the efficiency and quality of cleaning is improved by intensifying the mechanical effect of a washing liquid flow on the impurities. A mathematical inequality is obtained that describes the condition in which the impurities are destroyed and eliminated from the surface. It is shown that mixing of the detergent solution and the creation of cavitation phenomena in the solution flow are used to produce a mechanical effect when cleaning metal surfaces. The level of the hydromechanical effect of the washing liquid on the surface exposed to cleaning and the energy intensity of intensified submerged cleaning are confirmed as cleaning efficiency criteria. The cleaning efficiency is determined by the physical and chemical properties of the detergent solution, by its flow rate and temperature, by the concentration of the detergent in water, and by the period when the decontaminated surface is exposed to the detergent solution.
