Mandibular Lymphoma: A Rare Case Report
Involvement of the mandible in lymphoproliferative disorders is uncommon, representing only 2%–3% of documented cases globally. We report on a 48-year-old man, who presented with a progressively enlarging swelling in the face and a solitary fleshy mass in the mouth. Histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of a mucosal lymphoproliferative disorder, with immunohistochemistry markers showing positivity for CD45 , CD19 , CD20 , and CD3 , indicating a B-cell lymphoproliferative lesion. Extensive blood tests and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging ruled out other primary malignancies. The patient underwent four cycles of standard rituximab, cyclophosphamide, hydroxydaunorubicin, oncovin and prednisolone (R-CHOP) chemotherapy every 21 days, resulting in an effective outcome.
