Carbohydrate levels effect growth, biological parameters, digestive enzymes and serum parameters of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus

Two diets (315 g CP) were expressed; 1st first diet LC (Low carbohydrate) and 2nd (High carbohydrate) HC. Fish fed 5 % of their total biomass. Fish fed HC showed lower FBW, WG, SGR and PER with decreased FCR. Likewise, RIL, HSI and SI were developed in fish fed HC. Amylase was higher in HC group. In contrast, lipase, protease, and lactate dehydrogenase showed no variation. Fish fed diet with HC showed a significant rise in ALT and AST and ALP. No significant were found in serum among fish groups. Keywords: Carbohydrates, Nile tilapia, Growth, Digestive enzymesFish values on the souq have continued relatively stable despite increased production costs (Tacon and Metian, 2015). This highlights the formation of novel methods to increase output and deliver feeding fish cultivated in aquaculture. In fact, tilapia have demonstrated that diets with lower digestible protein to digestible energy (DP:DE) ratios (NRC, 2011) can reduce feed costs (Kabir et al., 2019
