Impact of foliar sprays molybdenum and boron different concentrations on growth, flowering, and biochemical in leaves of Naomi mango trees under Beheira Governorate conditions
The current study was conducted on a private mango orchard in the Edko region of the Beheira Governorate, Egypt, over the course of two consecutive seasons in 2023 and 2024. This study evaluated the influence of foliar applications of molybdenum concentrations of 0.5 and 0.75 ml/L and boron concentrations of 0.75 and 1.0 ml/L were applied three times a year, starting on April 1st, May 20th, and July 15th, respectively, applied individually or in combination, on the growth and biochemical properties of Naomi mango trees. A drip irrigation system was used to cultivate the trees. Vegetative and biochemical characteristics improved with increasing concentration of molybdenum and boron. Furthermore, combined molybdenum and boron treatments outperformed single applications, with combination of molybdenum at 0.75 ml/L +foliar boron (1.0 ml/L) the most significant improvements in all studied vegetative growth measurement i.e.(shoot length, and leaf area) and biochemical i.e.( chlorophyll and carbohydrates, N, P, K, Fe, Mn, Zn, Ca and Mg) of mango Naomi leaves.
