Study of the structural and physical properties of environmentally friendly enriched polyaniline (MOPA) powders prepared from molybdenum trioxide.........
The structural properties of the MoO3-doped polyaniline (MOPA) powders, prepared with different weight percentages of molybdenum trioxide, polymerized molybdenum trioxides MOPA1, MOPA2, MOPA3, MOPA4 and MOPA5 synthesized at 45 wt%, 35 wt%, 25 wt%, 15 wt%, and 05 wt% weight percentages of MoO3, respectively. Based on this figure, the peaks’ positions observed in the all experimental XRD patterns are well consistent with the standard reference pattern JCPDS Card Nos. 00-005-0508. By inspecting the XRD patterns it is revealed that all the MOPA composites exhibit the thermodynamically stable phase of MoO3 with better crystal structure, however no effect of incorporating polyaniline was observed that implies the preservation of the MoO3 structure. This implies the successful doping of polyaniline with MoO3, however the polymerization of aniline monomers occurs on the surface of metal oxide confirming formation of MoO3-doped polyaniline products. Also revealed that the synthesized MOPA powder products exhibit high absorption capability in the visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum, however the intense absorption in visible region enhances the photocatalytic activities of these products referring to great potentials in important practical uses as possible photocatalytic materials.
