Analyzing the Relationship Between University Quality of Life Dimensions and Enhancing the Living Standards of Arish University Affiliates
The study aims to explore the actual status of academic and professional quality of life among the human resources at Arish University in North Sinai Governorate. The results revealed that the dimension of enhancing the quality of the educational system ranked first with a weighted mean of 74, followed by ensuring equal access to education for all without discrimination with a weighted mean of 68. Next came improving the competitiveness of educational systems and outputs with a mean of 65, followed by performance measurement indicators with a mean of 61. The dimension related to hospitals and healthcare services ranked last with a mean of 46, highlighting the need to upgrade health services at the university. The results further indicated a statistically significant positive correlation at the 0.01 level between the overall quality of life and its dimensions and several independent variables, most notably: age, years of service, individual and household monthly income, the number of training courses attended inside and outside the institution, the individual’s attitude towards self-development, participation in institutional development, and the level of the university’s community engagement in its local environment. Regarding the relative contribution of explanatory variables, the multiple regression analysis showed that the number of training courses attended inside and outside the institution contributed significantly to explaining about 18.5% of the total variance in the level of quality of life, with internal training courses accounting for 12.4% and external courses for 6.1%, both having a positive effect.
