Response of two Durum Wheat Cultivars of Phenology Traits and Productivity to Spraying Micronutrients and Amino acids in Upper Egypt
The field experiment was conducted in newly reclaimed soil in Upper Egypt, at Al-Matana, Esna District, Luxor Governorate, during the 2022–2023 and 2023–2024 seasons to study the effect of foliar spraying with micronutrients (iron, zinc, manganese), amino acids, and their combination on the productivity of two durum wheat cultivars (Beni Sweif 7 and Beni Sweif 8) under Upper Egypt conditions. The experiment was designed as a strip-plot arrangement with three replicates. The results revealed a significant increase in the foliar mixture treatment compared (micronutrients and amino acids together) to the other treatments, as in days to heading, days to maturity, grain filling rate, and grain yield, except for the grain filling period, similarly, Beni Sweif 7 cultivar is clearly superior in all studied traits, except for the grain filling period. It was also found that there were strong correlations among the studied traits. It was also found that there was a strong correlation between days to heading, days to maturity, grain filling rate, and grain yield, except for the grain filling period, which showed a weak correlation with all the studied traits.
