Complete Genome of Extended-Spectrum β-Lactamase-Producing Escherichia coli Strain PEC011 from a Companion Dog
The complete genome of Escherichia coli strain PEC011, an extended-spectrum -lactamase (ESBL)-producing isolate from a canine case of pyometra, was determined. The genome consisted of a 4,755,675 bp chromosome and five plasmids, encoding 5,434 proteins.Antibiotic resistance genes were identified in the genome, including bla CMY-2 on the chromosome, aac(3)-IId and bla TEM-1B on IncFIB/IncFII/Col56 multi-replicon plasmid, and bla CTX-M-55 on the other IncI1-I(alpha) ST16 plasmid.
