Mathanica: A Linguistic and Architectural Framework for Reasoning About Intelligent Systems
Mathanica is a deliberately constructed linguistic and architectural framework for reasoning about artificial intelligence systems. Rather than proposing new algorithms, models, or learning techniques, it introduces a coherent vocabulary for describing intelligent systems as dynamic, context-dependent processes that evolve over time. The framework defines a minimal core lexicon—including the Mathanix (core intelligence component), Mathanica (operational environment), Mathanthropic considerations (alignment intent and human-centred constraints), Mathanator mechanisms (monitoring and intervention), and Mathanta (stable operating regimes)—to make architectural roles and design assumptions explicit in language. This vocabulary is intended to support clearer reasoning about system behaviour, context, stability, and oversight across technical and non-technical domains. Mathanica’s contribution is conceptual rather than algorithmic. It is presented as a white paper and architectural language, intended to support AI system design, governance, auditing, and education without committing to a specific implementation paradigm. This record serves as the canonical reference for the Mathanica framework and establishes prior art for its terminology and conceptual structure.
