Beyond Drive Dualism: Retrieving Anteros as Regulator of Alterity and Eros's Maturation

This paper proposes a reinterpretation of Freudian drive theory through Greek mythology, retrieving Anteros as regulator of alterity and Eros's maturation. Freud's absence of Anteros reduced the myth to simplifying dualism, whereas the Eros–Anteros–Thanatos triad o􀆯ers richer psychic understanding.
