GBM Bubble: a conceptual framework for colony stability Genetic · Behavioural · Microbiome perspective
This concept paper introduces the GBM Bubble (Genetic · Behavioural · Microbiome) as a thinking framework for honey bee colony stability.Rather than proposing a new theory, GBM is presented as a diagnostic and observational tool for framing colony resilience and loss of buffering capacity. The framework integrates genetic diversity, behavioural coherence and microbiome integrity to help interpret delayed collapses and divergent colony outcomes. This document is shared as an open draft to invite critique and discussion.
