The Architecture of Limitation (AoL): Region Transitions and Governance Rules

This technical note specifies how the Architecture of Limitation (AoL) governs transitions within the Admissible Cognitive Field (ACF). It unifies a region-based model of human cognitive artifacts with a constraint-based validation grammar that determines when transitions between regions are admissible. AoL is presented as a non-generative, non-teleological governance layer that activates only when cognitive artifacts stabilize claims while drifting across regions without appropriate resizing of boundary, proportion, or motion. The note is intended as a reference specification for philosophical analysis, AI governance design, and systems-level critique, rather than as a theory of truth or a worldview. This work belongs to the Architecture of Limitation research program.
