Witkowskia makarovae sp. nov. (Bacillariophyta) from a Nameless Lake in the Adjacent Territory of the Ust-Lensky Reserve (Yakutia, Russia)
This electron microscopy study of phytoplankton from a nameless lake in the adjacent territory of the Ust-Lena Reserve made it possible to describe a new species of diatoms of the genus Witkowskia—W. makarovae Genkal et Gabyshev, sp. nov. This species is similar to W. ignorata and W. baikaloelginensis, but differs from them by a larger number of areolae in 10 µm and the absence of stigma in the central area.
