The Institute of Extradition in Muslim Law: The Relationship between International Legal Regulation and Sharia Law

This article analyzes the mechanisms of extradition in countries with Muslim law. Using the example of individual Arab states, the article analyzes the application of international legal assistance treaties and Sharia law in the implementation of extradition. The article concludes that in practice, these countries find it more effective to regulate the extradition of criminals through bilateral treaties between members of the Arab League or treaties with third countries. However, in these agreements, the parties agree in advance on the conditions of extradition, taking into account the influence of Muslim law in the specific national legal system.
