WareGate: An On-Demand Warehousing Coordination Platform for Global SMEs (MVP Technical & Product Concept)

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face structural barriers when expanding into international markets, primarily due to rigid long-term warehouse contracts, high upfront infrastructure costs, and dependence on complex logistics intermediaries. This work presents WareGate, a B2B marketplace and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed to provide on-demand access to warehouse capacity without requiring SMEs to establish local infrastructure or long-term commitments. WareGate is intentionally positioned as a coordination and trust platform, rather than a logistics operator, third-party logistics provider (3PL), or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. The work documents the conceptual design, MVP scope, and technical architecture of the platform, emphasizing rapid validation, modularity, and future scalability. This work is presented as a technical concept and defensive disclosure rather than a peer-reviewed research article. Any commercial use, implementation, or derivative system based on this work requires explicit written permission from the authors.
