386P WITHDRAWN: Acrolein drives p38 MAPK activation in neutrophils via thioredoxin alkylation and promotes immunosuppression in the glioma microenvironment
Acrolein (Acr), a highly reactive aldehyde generated under hypoxic tumor microenvironment, disrupting redox homeostasis through the covalently modification of thioredoxin (Trx), one of the major cellular antioxidant pathways. Neutrophils, the most abundant immune cells in the blood, have been reported to exhibit immunosuppressive properties in cancers. However, the underlying mechanisms of neutrophil reprogramming in TME remain unclear. Glioblastoma (GBM) is a malignant brain tumor in the world, and has a poor prognosis correlated with the number of infiltrated neutrophils in glioma TME.
