A Conceptualizing Treatment for Trauma Survivors From a Humanistic–Existential Trauma‐Informed Care Framework
ABSTRACT This manuscript explores the intersection of trauma‐informed care (TIC) and humanistic–existential counseling for war survivors and refugees, emphasizing the need to address the deeper aspects of trauma beyond just symptom management. A framework for understanding humanistic–existential TIC is proposed, integrating existential philosophy, humanistic counseling principles, and emerging neuroscience to support a trauma‐informed approach to growth and healing.
