Nonreciprocal Optical Router and Circulator Based on a Hybrid Electro‐Optomechanical System
ABSTRACT We theoretically propose a scheme to perform the functions of router and circulator based on a hybrid cavity optomechanical system consisting of two optical cavities, two microwave cavities and two mechanical resonators coupled to each other via the Coulomb interaction. By manipulating the phase differences and Coulomb interaction, we not only achieve optical routing where the signal only outputs from the target port, but also control the frequency type of the output signal. In addition, the hybrid optomechanical system can be demonstrated as a four‐port circulator. Our research shows some potential applications for controllable photon transport in optical information processing.
