410P Exploratory study of chronic NLRP3 inflammasome activation in prostate cancer: Promoting cancer progression and immune escape
NLRP3 inflammasome is a key component of the innate immune response and has been shown to be expressed in cancer cells of various origins. While acute NLRP3 activation can promote anti-tumor immunity, chronic activation supports tumor progression by shaping an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) through interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18. However, the precise role of NLRP3 in cancer, particularly within the immune TME, remains poorly understood.
