Bearing the brunt: A Case of traumatic enucleation in a bear encounter
In a bear attack aftermath, a 35-year-old female farmer suffered severe facial trauma, resulting in traumatic enucleation of the right eye. Ocular and maxillofacial assessments revealed extensive injuries. Enucleation was chosen as a management option due to optic nerve avulsion and potential systemic complications, highlighting the complexity of wildlife-induced ocular injuries.
