Developing an implementation plan to improve vaccine uptake in pulmonary medicine: An institutional approach through the American Thoracic Society vaccine initiative

Using implementation science methods within a QI framework enabled the development of clinically pragmatic implementation plan comprised of strategies and interventions that are tailored to the specific clinic context and prioritized based on local influencing factors. The described implementation science-informed methodology is fully transferable to other health systems seeking to improve vaccination in subspecialty clinics.
